Whilst I agree the ******* O'Neill should be made to feel the same pain his poor, defenceless son felt in his short, sorry life, I think we should keep this in perspective.
As someone else rightly said, what about "Adam" and Victoria Climbie? Evil walks among us regardless of race or creed and I think the punishment the above ******* got, while not totally befitting the crime, is the best we can hope for in this country - bethe criminalBlack or White.
Also, for the record, Aaron's mothershould be sterilised. I hope someone gets to both of these odious people before the Lord Longfords decide they're "rehabillitated".
It would interesting, though, to see what the perpetrators of the Tonbridge heist get....wouldn't it?
I bet it'll be more than 22 years!!

What about "Adam"?

... if her killer had not been arrested at the scene, would she be another "Adam"?

@ lady vee
Good post
Savagery is not race specific
Ask Toni - Ann Byfields relatives
Those tonbridge cats probs will get over 22 years, considering those Millenium Dome jokers got 17 years for that piece of joke business

The problem is they do us in with statistics. I don't where or how they come about them.

To those who made the obvious, and hard to argue against, point (in order to keep things in perspective) that 'savagery is not race specific' let me point out:
No one here is actually saying it is race specific. These things are being highlighted to draw parellels between the way the evil deeds of whites in this society are highlighted compared to those by non-whites. Furthermore, it is to highlight the point that the evil deeds of whites are in fact more common......It is just that things are often presented to give the impression of the reverse. Maybe you can keep this point in perspective when you are quick to jump in with your 'keeping it in balance' arguments.
Furthermore, are you just as quick with your 'keeping it in perspective' two cents worth, when the stories (such as the Adam and Vitoria Climbie ones) appear plastered all over the media? Or is your focus more on the 'savagery of black on black crime' that is proliferating our society?
Yeah sure, savagery is not race specific. But surprisingly this point gets rather muted when the 'savagery' under consideration is of the black kind. In the same way we only hear of 'black on black crime', no such thing as 'white on white crime'. Where is the perspective and balance there?
Respect
There are those who feel that the only way to ‘prove their own worth’ is by ‘devaluing the worth of others’. You will often find that a man who is compelled to measure his substance against the substance of another, has little of substance in the first place!

Backatya: great post...I'd like to add in line with your thoughts and the constant comparisons being made to Climbe..with the first case i presented..that in both cases care workers were at fault... However unlike in both cases the treatment by the press/media has not been equal....
In the Climbe case the Social worker who made a mistake was hung out to dry by her employers, and then cruelly exposed and relentlessly slaughtered by the media and then to make matters far worse she was then put on the same register as Peadophilles, and Child abusers as unfit to work with children.. Contrast this with this latest case, where a worker was also sacked..do we know the name of this worker, their job title, has anyone seen a picture where is the press hounding of this person..(probably white) who was sacked..?
This is the point that is being made, in the Climbe case everyone 'white' or non black to do with that case either jumped ship or denied responsibility and let the black workers carry the can...The abusers of Victoria was highlighted as dispicable...but strangely enough where is the furoar over this case..a man PRESSED a babies faces against a hob and then beat its brains in and not a friggin peep...from anyone..no enquiry..no press uproar nothing its almost like this never happened...and they say we're savages?

Invalidquestion @ MGL
The killer WAS arrested at the scene. Their is no basis for any other 'what if' hypothesis
Besides, the killers blood would have been all over Rochelle ( r.i.p) so their is a very good chance that the man wouldnt have gotten away if he wasnt arrested at the scene
