This is true, in Barbados you are considered rude if you don't say goodmorning/afternoon/night, this goes for all ages, its one of the first things you learn. I've been to London once at xmas this year, I did find it unfriendly and the tubes where something else but it was the same as Swansea ( where I'm at uni ) but I suppose I'm used to a different way of life so anywhere in the UK will seem unfriendly to meconfused3

When i was in the Caribbean and US (southern states). if was literally customary for the blacks toaknowledge one another. This guy even went out of his way and tapped my mother on her shoulder while shewas talking on her mobile to say 'hi'....the friendliness made us feel comfortable and welcome...

Typical as we will not accept facts!!! we justblind to anything outside our little world!! look I have worked all over Britain and it is true that London is very cold compared to 99% of the rest of Britain, and I will bet most folks will agree who have worked in a lot of places. I think people who have not experienced living in the north of u.k just do not know how different people are" try it yourselves one day and you will understand what I mean!
