I wonder how many such covenants exist here in the UK?

Good point of discussion is should we agree with the lady in the video, on her view of keeping such covenants, as its part of our history and should remain to remind all.

@ Le Moor - what discussion is there exactly to be had? RRC are illegal and unenforceable; everybody knows that. I dont know what the point of the thread starter was but we have to be careful not to believe everything we see just because it has the word "racism" - or some form thereof - in the title.

RRC do NOT hang over local homes (USA). Let's be alittle more discerning.

The U.S. Supreme Court, in Shelley v. Kramer, decides that racially restrictive covenants[/b] aren’t legally enforceable. (The covenants became popular after racial zoning was outlawed in Buchanan v. Warley, 1917. They were attached to property deeds, dictating which racial or ethnic groups the property could or could not be sold to.)
