Some of you guys may think me naive but I believe the following.

To work a radical transformation all that is required is to “do unto others as you would have them do unto you. No beliefs, no worship, no ten commandments, no ceremonials, no churches, no organization of any kind. No waiting for a better government better laws better working conditions, better this, better that. Begin this moment where you find yourself, and take no thought of the morrow. Look not to Russia, china, India, not to Washington, not to the adjoining city and state but to your immediate surroundings. Forget Buddah, Jesus, Muhammed and all the others. Do your part to the best of your ability, regardless of the consequences. Above all do not wait for the next man to follow suit.

Who endevors to act upon this "truth" has to have the courage of a lion, the tenacity of a bull, the wiliness of a serpant and the innocence of a dove. It nevertheless remains an illuminating fact that it is only the presence of a handful of men in every age that keeps societies from degenerating.

Even though I am not a christian throughout the parables of jesus there is implicit that we are not to go about to seek trouble, not to go about trying to patch things up, not to endevor to convert others to our way of thinking but to demonstrate the truth that is within us. By responding with a full spirit to any demand which is made upon us we aid our fellow man to help himself. For Jesus there was no problem involved. It was simple. By giving the full measure of oneself-- more, in other words than what was demanded-- you restored to the one in need human dignity.

For me there is one more thing that needs forgetting to work a radical transformation.

Yourself.

If you can do that then many new doors will be revealed. These doors are here. Been there for the longest. Just the mind is not conditioned to see them. If you include yourself then you will be like Jesus in the wilderness when the devil ask him to turn rocks into bread. That is a decision we all have to make that decision.

Carter G. Woodson as a earthly historical figure gave some illustration on the matter. And he certainly is not compared to Jesus, Mohammed, and Buddha. He was able to 'see' it.

"Who endevors to act upon this "truth" has to have the courage of a lion"

This is what's lacking on many people. Radical transformation needs a radical thought. Just being another, doesn't cut it. I also agree with the "Self".

Well, it is a cliche but I think it really is probably true -- That the only way to “save the world is by saving yourself first. Save yourself and you save the world.

The only thing that keeps this world from being a wasteland is vital people. And vital people are infectious. Their spirit animates the whole world.

People are forever railing against things and people that they can't change but how many of them attempt to effect needed changesfor themsleves ?... the one area where theyhave the most control.

I agree. Because it seems that more often than not men's dreams are for power, material items or monetary gain. All of which are very superficial and selfish.

Yes, all those things are superficial. Man needs power over himself, not over others. Man needs his material needs met, he doesn't need toamass bullions of gold to be horded in underground vaults.

A radical transformation is hard to imagine people staying focused. As with any new way of doing anything, an idea may be noble or may be a better way of doingthings but at some point over time people begin to loose focus. The once noble idea will become segemented because someone else will think they their version of the transformation is better than the original idea. Wasn't that tried once I think it was a countrynamed America. The original idea was to be a republic but somehow it became a republic with more of a loosely based democratic ideology.
