RIP DJ Swing.

Last year the campaign was stepped up for a bone marrow for the MOBO award winning DJ Swing. On 10 November 2005, DJ Swing had a bone marrow transplant with a 90% matching donor. The transplant procedure went well with no complications and there are very positive signs that his body is accepting the transplant. Unfortunately DJ Swing has now lost his battle, Futher information will be provided soon. Blacknet members would like to send condolences to the family and friends of DJ Swing.

In the mean time if you have not signed up for the UK Bone Marrow Register, please do as you could increase the time to save someone's life.

If you are between the ages of 18 and 45 of African Caribbean and Mixed Parentage descent then please take you and your friends to sign up for the UK Bone Marrow Register by giving blood at the next A.C.L.T clinic. More information can be found here:

my condolences go out to DJ Swing's family. for sum reason i felt very angry when i heard this news...it just isnt fair at all.

Damn my condolences, may the family stay strong and united. Just know that God is lookin after the both of them now, nothing or no one can hurt them anymore. Thats my belief.

As a tribute to the late, Brian Daley (DJ Swing), the African Caribbean Leukeamia Trustare organising a one-day donor registration clinic on Sunday 26th March to recruit more potential donors on to theUK bone marrow register.
The clinic will take place at the ChoiceFM studios, 30 Leicester Square, London, WC2H 7LA on Mothering Sunday (26th March) between 10am to 6pm.
They are looking for anyone aged 18 to 43 years old to come down and register - by registering you could help save a life!
Brian always said â€œWe have to continue spreading the message, the work must not stop. Lives can be saved.â€?
So come down and register on Sunday 26th March at the ChoiceFM Studios, 30 Leicester Square.
