Maybe the bickering on here is what puts some people off of visiting Africa in the first place.

People need stability. Its the thought that theres no stable enviroment in Africa to live in, the fear that things will go belly up in what ever state they choose to live in. The west blankets Africa, ''The Dark Continent'' as they call it and push people into the thinking that its completely unstable when it isn't.. no note that the general span of the continent is left to a trick of the eye on maps that only highlight europe properly with the UK slightly enlgarged so you can actually read the city names.. add to it the pain that most familys run from be it the carib or where ever, to move to a place where you feel as though theres gonna be more of that pain is a tough thing to do. Anyway the CONTINENT is HUGE, the europeans are scrambling for itwhile we find discomfort and rename it comfort in their lands... Plenty of places to live in real comfort and peace in Africa I'm sure....Definatly like to visit one day, tough to convince the parents but as soon as I get my ancestory back I'm gonna check out the place my family got snatched from.

Thats the plan.

It shouldbe illegal to misinform people of things on TV I've actually watched programs where they've literally said, ''Theres nothing here'' not to mention the lack of real worldwide news andhistory... yet the News and other channels pretend to report worldwide when they don't (not to mention the white lies told about worldly affairs)I guess National geographic is just that, national and not international.

a friend of mine just got back from a trip to Kinshasa where he acompanied a group of European investors. After this year's election, you will see a big economical startup in the region. most of the investors are just concerned about the lack of infrastructual arrangements like international schools,big houses and common facilities like country clubs and so on...these were their biggest concerns how to get there with familiy.

supplydoesn't meetdemand, so i am willing to go there and get a piece of the action. My friend who works for the Deutsche Bank kept on telling me about these opportunities. Reading most of your comments, i know that in a couple of decades, you willsee many black people in the Diaspora crying and crying and complaining, but we do have a chance to be part of something big but we prefer to stay in Europe or the Americas just because of social security?

wtf...i am a citizen of France, i can have both sides of the medal. i can have social security AND i can live in an african country and start something

white people never had these problems and doubts...please don't be so narrow-minded and think smart. start your company in your European country, get all the benefits and support and invest the money in Africa...

white people have been doing this ever since but some black people are more concerned about living aday withoutEletricity or watching cable TV
