Im Hotep,

Why is it that when we are trying to be cool, we end up making the biggest fools out of ourselves? LOL I was downtown and a really pretty sister was coming up the street from the opposite direction, so I smiled at her and was getting my rap together in my head so that I could talk to her. I should have been paying attention, because there was a big ass chunk of cement missing out of the sidewalk. I tripped over it, my shoe came off, and all the papers in my hands went WHOOOOOSH all down the street! And I didn't just fall. Hell no, I slid on my hands and knees for about two or three feet. I had little pebbles and sh*t embedded in my palms and everything. Needless to say, the sister was cracking up (though she was trying to hide it). I couldn't even make a quick getaway. I had to put my shoe back on and pick up all those damned papers!

Please share your public spills with me? The time you fell in public? Anyone?

ps- my knees still hurt.

lol, in this case YOU dropped the fish instead of it getting away

When I was in middle school I remember talking to some of my friends trying to look cool, little did I know there was this pole in the middle of the hallway that separated the two doors. While talking all smooth I walked right into it..... very embarrassing. Took a month before everyone forgot about it.

@ Hatharuhotep

LOL....man you could have still played it cool by saying "You see what you made me do sister? If you are going to walk around looking so fine you should wear a 'mind the step' warning lable for the benefit of us brothers. How about comforting my wounds by having lunch with me?"

The worst that ever happened to me was when I was about 15 and I saw this fine sister on a bus that happened to drive pass. Playing cool I started joggingnext to the bus (you know cracking a little dip witheach step) waving and smiling and getting a really sweet smile back I may add. Then wack! I hit full into a lamp post I didn't see coming. I don't know which was worse. The pain from smashing my face on the lamp post or the shame from the sister and the other occupants on the bus seeing what a damn fool I was.

Man thats some trauma! Its alright if you can run but if you have to pick up and chase papers down the street it soon becomes a play, people coming out from shops to watch... people stopping their cars.

The worst one I've had was when I was in school. Being the nimble lil sprout that I am and always have been I was quite confindent that the large pile of school bags would cause no problem for me as they sat in the middle of the hall during lunch time... I decided that a pink doughnut was for me and that the best way for me to obtain the doughnut was astylish run and jump over the pile of school bags and paraphinailia... I ran and like a gazelle I flew through the air... my foot caught a shoulder strap and WHUMPH! I was gone dragged back intothe bags and left tryingto break free in front of the WHOLE school at lunch... it shattered my confidence with women and here I am now.

My bros trip was the funnyest though. We were chatting in the kitchen and he was making chocolait or something, he had a cup of milk in his hand and he slipped feet first... he landed on his back still holding the cup which banged onto the floor after him... the milk from the cup flew up into the air and landed splat on his face. Man, that was classic.
