You can go to someone's house and have dinner with them. I know a few families where I can go to their house as often as I like and have dinner or eat. Are you part of acommunity where you can people can trust other people with their kids, or If there are a significant amount of people in your culture where you are is there some kind of informal network like this(may include doctors, mechanics, or tradesmen)?

My sister in law used to encourage me to do this with her friends when i lived quite far away from home....i avoided it for a good few years untill my brother's naging got too much so i thought i'd try some just to get them off me case. I never made it to 3 houses....the first one had a face that was fried like KFC chicken due to excessive bleaching.....the second house the women spend the entire evening encouraging me to use the new "fair Beauty" cream to help with my teenage acney......it was then that i swore never to accept this all so nice invitations! I have come to a conclusion that the majority of my people in Europe are ****ed up(lets face it, majority of migrants are not from the social classes that i would be seen dead with back home..smoking-devil)and i wouldn't want to be around them for anything.

These are the men who I trust with my life. Often I've just showed up (well pretty much all them's) home with kids in tow. You see I have one aspect of my life that I have never been able to figure out.
I CAN'T COOK! Sometimes my wfies goes out of town and when I've had enough of McDonalds and fastfood......on kid in the stroller on on my hand.

Hey its Parris......what are yall cooking. No problems
There are five who are my closest friends. As closer and men can get without being brother. In bold.
(left to right) Lee, Stadler, Fong (being held...funny black guy with Chinese name his father is Chinese), Almenderez, Porter, (me) Compton, Nelson, Stephens, Edwards, Bell,
(bottom row) Wall, Roberts, Mowry, Magano

These men where with me when my daughter was born, and helped me burry my mother.

DSP.............Come Over Any Time = Somalis.
Really, they will be in your house without you calling/telling them so....it's part of our culture. Some of them will have their kids, and leave for hours in your house......some may even go to weddings.......
Come to Minni and you will see.......

Funny thing, I think that's why alot of people didn't mind having so many kids back home. You could leave them anywhere and they still managed to eat well and be safe.

I'm sure its ok. All our ranks and names are posted on our units web site. Scouts take off their rank and names when we go on missions or combat.

Parris
I'm sure you CAN cook. I can't see how a soldier presumably trained in survival wouldn't be able to cook. You just tell your wife you can't cook cos your ass is lazy and you don't want her to know that!
