Is there no place where a "Black" person can find "Black" on "Black" love? I mean, if this is keeping it real. If this is truthful. Is there a place left where "Black" people lie to each other?

I used to have to endure crazed freakish "Black" males who blamed the "welfare queen" for our overall bad image.

Then I endured upper-class "Black" folks blaming poor "Blacks".

After that it was Hip-Hop's fault. Yepper, the young folks were doing stuff that was making us all look bad.

Then finally the "Black" male was just too violent and stupid to get it together.

When will we see we are simply chasing our butts. I ain't even gonna brag about what I do or how much money I make.

But I would be a fool to sit here and claim the problems within "Black" culture are none of my problems. That they are someone else's fault. Some 16 year-old "Black" boy on the southside, growing up in the ghetto, whilelistening to 50 Cent is the problem. Not me.

Yep, some woman who had 5 children by 3 different men is the problem, I didn't do anything.

What is wrong with us?

Are we so damaged. So hurt. So lost that we cannot even understand the nature of the issue? Is it this way overseas too? Is there love in the U.K? How about in Africa? Can I go there? Or are "Blacks" there trying to find a way to say. . .it ain't me or "us"?!?!?!?!? It's them!!!!

Just like it's going to make a bit of difference? Will "Whites" come in and check my resume, then give methe "okay" or the stamp of approval? Will they spare me from their historical critiques of backwards "Blackness"?

What are we looking for? What is our goal?

You asked: "

The answer is YES. Until the lost African in America comes to grips with his severe level of DOMESTICATION, the answers will always be elusive.

In America the goal seem obvious, make money and buy material items like cars homes jewels cruises and give the APPEARENCE of parity with Massa.

@TheDogon.

Some of your points ring very true.

Food for thought...

This "Blame" culture is a very irresponsible approach to the adverse sociological issues affecting our community.

As a people - we need to start taking responsibilty for us.

Admittedly that is a lot easier said than done.

This issue can begin to be mitigated if we learn to take an interest in each other.

Society generally encourages a jaded, self centered, selfish, superficial approach to life.

It is very important to keep this in perspective and to proactively maintain an awareness of ourselves, and the effect that we have on others.

Now I may have faith, to make mountains fall;
But If I lack love, then I am nothing at all...
I can give away everything I possess;
But if I\'m without love
Then I have no happiness...

It's incredible, isn't it? Our own self-worth is really measured by how "White" we can appear to be? How together we can look. What places we can brag about visiting? Whatcar or whatkind of house we can obtain? We get into the comparisongame when it comes to marriages and family. Everyonetrying to pretend that "Donna Reed" is the best way to go.

Yep,this societyencourages this self-centered, highly individualistic approach. . .but at the same time it is a society built upon the foundation of "White" supremacy. So no matter what, we will be grouped.
