Maasai - bring back the tail of a male lion. The lion had to die while you are holding its tail. You went hunting a 300kg lion with a spear and a matchete as your only weapons. Day and night in the wilderness. Villagers did a mock funeral in advance since coming back was not a guarantee.

Luyas` - Steal a woman from her village in the dead of the night while asleepand carry her till you reach home. Pray her clansmen don't catch up with you. It was advisable you prepare your funeral in advance, just in case.

Pokot - Wrestle a crocodile and bring it home. Just for information, the villagers would inform you in advancehow uncle Tom's who went on a similar mission had his armfound in the stomach of a particularly notorious crocodile called (fill in).

Very interesting. I was thinking more online with the actually ceremony. I am planning my promotion ceremony.
I have only two days to plan but what I WANT
Is to have a Buddhist Monk that will bless the ceremony... And I have a Christian Reverend with will do my Benediction.
My great grandmother who is(was) Kentucky Cherokee.....I contacted her tribe to present an Eagle Feather and I was interested in some of the things that African historically did to mark the promotion of one to the rank of warrior.
Given my short time to prepare what it looks is that I'll simply have the Reverend bless and end the ceromony. I will be promoted by one of the kids I mentor and my wife.
