You can access a pdf file with a full list of the legends and "younguns" who attended. I thought it was very well done and long overdue. I watched it and am wondering if anyone else here did?

Why I ask. Why was this legends ball so biased as to have Maya and Ms. King as the only black 'legends' not associated with media? Where were the corporate, political, and academic black women legends? They could fill half of NewYork any time.
Why is it that africans are programmed to view media personalities as 'legends'? Is there anything the african has to prove in music?

Obviously you didn't see it so I can understand your little quip. Even her detractors were moved by what they witnessed. Can't wait for the group photo and DVD to hit the market. I know some of you are bothered because you don't feel she's under your direct control and that her show doesn't resolve around you...but try and give credit where it's due.

Gospel music is incredible and I love that kinda vibe right there. Great singers all of em.
Yeah some of the comments sounded wishy washy and I did roll my eyes at the comments from women I read here and on other forums about crying but who am I to tell other people what they felt?

I don't think so Rockette. Not to get at the show but I don't get those type of feelings for anything... cold fish. So uh uh.As I said I wouldn't presume to tell people what to think or feel themselves but crying for people on TV? Naaaah
I appreciate the music from my point of view as a music lover... but spirituality and TV crying to me are like speaking yoruba to a cantonese fisherman... no comprende
