MODS: This isn't an interracial dating thread, I'm just simply putting my point across on why I can justify me not having kids or dating anyone from outside my race. I've made this topic to make other posters (even though they probably already know) know my reasons.
Well I have plenty of friends from different backgrounds and when I say a lot I mean a lot. Theres to many mixed-race people I chill with from time to time. All's I got to say is that being around them is an eye opener. Therementality really got to meas their behaviour is SHOCKING. to me
Theres one girl in particular who goes on about how she only checks black and mixed-race guys (she is half Nigerian) yet she always makes snide comments about African guys and how 'black' they are.......BUT WAIT A MINUTE!!!! didn't I just say she is half Nigerian and only dates black and mixed-race guys. Yep the ironey kills it.
The other mixed-race people I know are blaintent hyprocites, I mean can you believe that they actuallythink being black is walking with a limp/talking fake patois/listening to any form of black music. I could name nuff African & Caribbean dishes and things about my culture and other cultures from the region. Even though I WAS BORN HERE!!! I don't eat black food a lot but atleast I havesome sort on a regular basis. They haven't even heard of most when I say, even when I name from where on of their parents come from.
Anyway what I'm getting at is that If you really love who you are then theres no hardm in having offspring with your own kind!!! as the only thing you'll get if you don't is dark-skinned white people.
p.s- there is more I can go into but can't be arsed to rant on...

You feel you need to justify why you want a partner and children of your own race?
wtf ........Are we that insecure we now feel it needs justification? What next? A man giving reasons why he wants to have sex only with a woman?.........
Respect

Ahem, as Backatya said, why do you feel the need to justify not having children outside of your race? Most of us choose to stay within our own race and ethnicity because it's simply the most natural thing to do, or should be the most natural thing to do. We feel more comfortable around people who look like us and come from similar backgrounds even if their experience isn't exactly like ours. That's all there is to, you don't need any justification for that.

@ Interested 1
Incase you didnt know everything you have mentioned about your mixed race "friends" has been said or done by some black people..
If you preferyour own racegood for you,but using the views of a minoritywho are mixed race to justify your reasons dosent make much sense because not all of them are like that.
And like everyone else has said, there is no needto justifywho you want to be with, thats your own business.. especially when your choice isnt exactly considered to be un-natural or a crimeconfused3
But if you say you are not trying to justify being with someone of your own race ,could you please explainwhat this thread is about:?

No no no........I'm not saying that, WHAT I am saying is that all the mixed-race people in my personal experience don't embrace their black culture properly. This isthe whole point of my thread, because I want to tell others about my experiences...

O.k, Well you talk about your experience as if you have never come across anyone black who has said/done the same.
why be shocked or expectsomething to not be done by mixed race people when the same thingis done everyday by some black peopleconfused3
Im not telling you to date outside your race ,because that is not what im getting at.
I justfound your vent about your mixed race "friends" a strange way to justify being with someone of your own race when some people within our community are doing the exact same things you are venting about.
