Great empires have a number of things in common:

Immense wealth

military might and the brutal will to use it;

a simple, accessible and reasonable sounding ideology;

a divided, ideologically confused opponent

craven, ambitious and cynical acolytes with decision making powersplaced strategically throughout the ruling apparatus.

For the last 500 years we blacks have been faced with this formidable enemy. Time after time we see our best brains get sucked into and bought off by the rulingsystem, bought off with baubles, misinformation, penalties,underminded confidence, paranoia and self hate. We have watched them become corrupt, self serving,cynical,adrip with transparent hypocrisy and yet we call them our leaders, allow them space in our media to speak, never challenge enoughthem at our social functions, generally give them a free ride.

Well maybe its time for a masive and sudden change. Maybe its time to challenge these characterswho have been electedto the commons;ensconced in the House of Lords; elevated to high office in the civil service and other parts of the public sector. Maybe its time that we shamed them for doing f-all to advance the social, educational and financial benefit of africans and caribbeans. Let's get organised and in our individual way call these black characters to book, orwork smartly against them untiltheir handlers kick them from their perch..if they are proved to be working against the interest of black people generally.

We might not be able to destroy the empire from outside, but by weeding out the chaff and supporting blacks of conscience in place we canremakethe systemfrom within.
