making home meals everyday

eating on campus as much as possible

getting student discount cards at all student fairs including travel cards, bookstores museums etcc

careful when buying expensive equipment that your tutors tell you need to have ( always look around)

live at home you'll spend less

don't go out drinking everyday, ..but if you have to..go to 'cheapskates' themed nights and student friendly venues.

get a part time job in the first two years ( work decreasing hours toward your final year of college, if possible get a job close to but not in your college [your employers will see you everyday and put pressure on you to take up more hours than necessary])

consider a moped/ push bike as a means of travel

and last but not least try and stick to a budget….
