Being a Social Nationalist generally means being a Nationalist whilst being sociable, not taking to a soap box and cussing out Babylon on speakers corner but discreetly putting your point of veiw across in your day to day actions. Be it getting the post, the bus or going for a jog through the park... The idea is to get the post, the bus and jog in a nationalist wayto create awareness. The soap box apprach dosen't seem to work anymore, people are too afraid to listen.

Heres a few examples;

• Always give your seat to African couples when on public transport.

Kinda just took to this one and kept it going. Think the first time I did it it was more out of discomfort than anything as the guys woman had sat next to me while he had to stand. I got up and let the guy chill happy to see them happy as they were both coming home from work and in the same clothes. Ok it sounds soppy but seeing them hugging one another and chatting away was kinda cool so I took to giving my seat to other African couples when I could. Did it the other night, a young couple got on the N29 and had to stand so I gave them my seat. Poor kid was scared there might be some motive behind it but they were cool.

• Read a book in public!

Works best on the back of the bus where the (wannabe) trouble makers be at. Take to bringing a book out with you, read it and let people know you're reading it. Trust me, have been doing this one for ages, would be on the back of the bus hoodied up reading, ''Capital by Karl Marx and Engles'' on the way home from college. The kids look at you likeyou're something out of the twilight zone can see the look of surprise in their eyes. Apparently its not cool to read so this one works well if you're in the cool bracket Ie; Wear a hoodie/hip hop type gearand can still drop a bit of slang when/if you're phone goes off. Seriously, I'd even say to go out in a hoodie and try this one just so you can see the looks on the kids faces. Obviously the book title should be topical, for the triple x breddahs theres always ''The Art of War''.

• Drop knowledge when in ear shot of kids/people in general.

If you're with a friend drop some knowledge on wha gwan when around people, be it in a shop, public transport or the park. If you're ina queand theres some kids about chat about something they can relate to without making it obvious. The best one is (again) on public transport if you're crafty enough you can ''recruit'' other people by cross relating your political chat with a comment about their country. You'll get stabbing looks from europeans,thats them letting you know you're on track. You'll also notice people listening in leaning closer to hear what you have to say, last time a Chinese woman was happy leanding an ear tomy friends talk about Africa.

Don't get being ''National'' twisted with any european concept of nationalism some people on here seem to think we're culturally glued to the europeans and their interpretation of things... their Nationalism is an outlet for outright hatred ours is a necessity.
