Its lame... kind ofodd cause you thinkyou know your fears, you don't think you could develop a new phobia/fear at all.
Forget which station I was at, think it was Euston but I was on the undergroundtired as anything, dazed out just hoping to get where I was going.Came off the elevator and turned into the part of the station where the train stops must've stood in one place for a bit when some byatchbumped into/pushedme... just as she did the train pulled into the station at a speed. Its like it got into my mind the shock of being pushed near to the tracks and the sound of the train pulling into the station cause now I can't walk near the train line, if its crowded I start thinking someone might push me onto the line. Even worse it gave me a fear of the trains themselves especially when I can hear them coming down the tunnel.
Bit off the cuff, just about to jump on a train to Brix town and thought about it.
The most annoying part is being on the dyamn things, especially that shoddy victoria line bouncing around everywhere. Used to be cool on trains would sit and chill, no worries at all. Tried that whole ''face your fears'' thing seems like its not there sometimes but like now part of me is dreading getting on that dyamn victoria line.
Any advice on how to combat a fear of trains?Dubz it transmotophobia .lol.
Hate that woman, she didn't even apologise, gave me the opinionshe did it delibarately at the time even looked back at me as Igot over the shock. Should've chased her down.

What can I say, you're just gonna have to live with it.
We all got some stuff we gotta deal with. Me and my salt thing for example. I have found a way around that.
Really I don't know what you should do though.

Heya. PeleblkrubheadIt sounds like you want to stay off the weed son! I'm not even joking, as I suspect this is making you even more paro!
"Any advice on how to combat a fear of trains?Dubz it transmotophobia" Is it jst the Vicky line or all lines...if just vicky, try other options, maybe overhead so you are only on the tube fora few stops.
I do hear you though...my fear about tubes are when they are delayed in the tunnel that shit freaks nme out something silly...even if it's for a few seconds, to me it feels like minuits, and the Vicky line is notorious for these delays; particularly in the summer months...for hours. WTF.
God determines who walks into your life...It's up to you who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go. May God bless all of you and your life be full of Peace, Prosperity, Love and Abundance. Amen

You know what, I dont think you will ever get over that fear because in my opinion its 100% rational to fear travelling by train and tube. The reason why I say that is because you're in a dark tunnel travelling at high speeds and you cant see where you're going. Its always hot stuffy and polluted and its jerky and noisy so I absolutely hate it!
You're right victoria line is the worst followed by the central line. You just have to try and grin and bear it.

The Vicky line is upsetting because the stations are so stupidly far apart. Personally I hate the Northern and Central because they get the most packed. There are so many people in such a small space and those trains especially around BANK station whine and rattle very badly. The platforms are small and crowded and any fool could bump you in.
Usually though the Northern has the worst ratings and is probably Londons most hated.

I HATE the northern line! And pretty soon it will be that unfortunate time of year when people always stink "au naturel". It's summer people! you should be using some damn extra deodourent!
Anyway, the northern line is always stupidly packed, even in the daytime. When I used to work in central london, I constantly arrived at work in a bad mood because if it. hate being butt to butt with so many strangers...
After that, my pet hate is the district line.
one word.

The way back wasn't so bad this time, was pissed off and hungry, no time to over think, that and Brixton is at the end line so the train is just there don't have to hear it screeching down the tunnel or pass dodgykurds and poles looking to shove someone on the track for no apparent reason.Guess SSS is right the overground is alright don't like it when they whizz past but I like travelling. StillI didn't mind travelling on the underground before that woman bumped into me, happened a good year and a bit ago, have even thought about seeing a hypnotistto get over it. Stresses me out.
The 'best' line has to be the Piccadilly. Think its the most modern out of the lot its the opposite of the Vikkie some proper short distances between stations. If you miss a bus from wood green you can dash into the station and try catch a tube to turnpike. Its like 3 bus stops down the road.

*Loud booming voice*
I FEAR NO SEASONING!!
I'm not scared of salt. I just don't like touching it. Someone told me something about it that isn't true. I can't shake what they said. Hence the no touching.

You want a scary experience get on the East London line at Wapping and go one stop to Rotherhithe. It's the oldest and first tunnel ever built under the Thames in the 1800s and it leaks! The damp smell and dripping wetleaking is very noticeable in that area and the train shakes. Not fun at all.

@Name; Sounds like someone got into your mind like that dyamn woman did to me, was a combination of being bumped into so close to the track at thesame time the train whizzed past. Think it was euston. Happened right at the entrance to the platform, one of those stations where the tunnel is by the entrance as you walk in.
Guess you can't go swimming on holiday and what not if you're afraid of salt... don't go to Malta btw they've got salt feilds out there, areas where theres loads of natural salt built up on the beach.Don't get phobias that can't actually do you any bad, what did someone tell you about salt enough to give you a phobia of the stuff?
Was watching a program last night, 'Ghosts of the underground' didn't know there was such a deep history to the stations. They found hundreds of dead bodies in a mass grave while digging one stationlike nine bodies per square meter. Think it was Bank station that used to be a crypt, in many cases they've had to exume bodies to extend lines. Not much of a history other than scary photos of disused tunnels with duppie floating around but it was an intresting program.
Followed by 'The excorsism of emily rose' I had an uneasy sleep last night.

Apedamak,
Don't feel bad about you having fears. We all have a fear of something. I have fears of elevators because when I was 16, I got stuck on one at a hotel in Washington DC. As a result, I'm just scared of heights. Just recently, I took it upon myself to get on an elevator, which is two- three stories high at the bus station. I'm not going to lie, I was horrified, but I got on it anyway. I was praying as I kept thinking that I was going get stuck on it again. It's a slow ride, but once I got up to the streetway, I was happy. I tried it two more times, slowly feeling better about my ride. I'm getting use to their elevators, but I don't just plan on stoping there, I plan on go on higher floors. There is also an escalator at my bus station that frightens me. You can ask some fo the people in Atlanta aboutit atPeachtree Center Station. You may as well be climbing a mountain because it is sooo steep and it's scares me. Looking up isn't the problem, it's looking down that's the bad part.I'm always taking the solid steps. If you want to get over your phobia, be slow about it. Take your time or how much you think you handle in getting over it and if it is more comfortable ask somebody to be with you to help you in your quest to better yourself. The more you do , the better getting over you fears will be.
