The word was "cause" but space obviously didn't permit me to complete the sentence.

It was some white woman married to an Africanman who wrote in cussing an African woman who's been dissing African men outright in the letters page for weeks. She basically implied we (Africans) wouldn't have made much progression as a communitywithout the help of white women who sleep with African men.
