just saw this mentioned on newsnight. they basically say they found no racism of course weed gotr mentioned and dispositioned etc

reasearch being done to assess why there are high levels of black people in mental health....most are referred to by the police or courts and not GP's apparently

We're completely diffrent from then and yet they expect to draw from the same text book for everyone. People don't seem to understand howdiffrent people from varing cultures think. Theres that BS saying, ''we're all the same'' all that mix it up type talk dosen't cut it.

A chini man dosen't think or even look at things in the same way as a European does. An Indian man dosen't see or look at things like an Eskimo and an Aussie dosen't think like a Japanese person. Yet we seem tied to the dyamn europeans as though we're at all the same when we're not, we're on opposite ends of the spectrum.

A friend of mine went a bit mad a while ago, Psycotic. Thing with that is that we as black people are an expressive, emotional people... with psycosis what a european doctor would describe as someone having a psycotic break varies completely. The breddah couldbe skanking to a dub, dancing serious, jump off your seat'I haven't heard this tune since way back when' spontanious type skank out and a european doctor wouldn't understand that we're expressive like that. Not to mention that they feel threatened by us so that makes them rubbish at doctoring and policing us completely.

If anyone knows of someone with problems find an African consultant. I'd evenavoid european doctors in general, my doctor even mentioned it, I've got scars and had to go see him to get them looked at as I get headaches and my neck/jawline clicks but we get keyloids so they can't operate to remove the scar as the operation would leave another keyloid.

I've got allot of experience with people in the mental health system mainly because my extended family are (..nuts)

The problem of the mentally ill is a complex one, and has beendiscussed many times on this forum, I’ve had friends and family in the 'maudsley institute and their is no one, single, simple reason, it stretches from males and females not being emotionally sensitive enough to recognise when the pressure in their life has reached boiling point, and they have no way of realising the pressure...
