Danielle loses fight for life[/align]

A Tottenham teenager has lost her fight for life after she was stabbed and beaten in broad daylight on Bank Holiday Monday.

Danielle Johnson died on Friday at the Royal Free Hospital, where she had been cared for since suffering serious head injuries and knife wounds on May 28. The 17-year-old was found at 6pm in Palmerston Road, Palmers Green, behind residential garages at the rear of Wendover House, about 100 yards from the junction with the North Circular Road.

Danielle is described as a light-skinned African Caribbean of dual heritage. She was wearing a black and red horizontally striped jumper with a blue motif on the front, and blue jeans and boots.

Detective Chief Inspector John Macdonald, of the Metropolitan Police homicide and serious crime squad, said: "We are appealing for witnesses to come forward who may have seen Danielle walking down Spencer Avenue which runs down Green Lanes prior to her attack. Given that this happened on a Bank Holiday and in daylight we hope that there will have been people in the area who may have seen or heard something that may be vital to our enquiry."

A post mortem held at Hornsey Mortuary Court on Monday found the cause of death to be a stab wound to the chest and head injuries. The inquest is due to be opened and adjourned on a date to be fixed.

A 17-year-old has been charged in connection with the attack, and an 18 year-old was arrested on May 30 and has been bailed pending further enquiries.

The Johnson family has requested the press to respect their privacy.

Spencer road isn't really Enfield. Itson the border into Haringey. Shes from Tottenham and was more or less in Wood Green which is two minutes down the road from where she was.

Its part ofan area beef thats been going on for a while, don't think most kids know but they can't be crossing over into each others areas like that anymore. The police should know about this already and inform the F'in schools, this kid looks innocent and theres nothing in frigging tottenham (where I'm from)for them to do so they use the park on the border and go to the cinema in wood green shopping city. Tottenham used to be one of our areas but the turks, kurds and east europeans have moved in and have taken over, out populated us,guess its causing a drug turf war cause the Turks are deep into drugs.

I mean if the police KNOW theres something going on why aren't they telling people sokids can avoid getting into trouble? It only makes sence.

Teenager sentenced for Bounds Green murder

The teenager who stabbed a girl to death behind some garages in Bounds Green last year has been jailed today for 12 years.

Mark King-Bromley, 17, from Green Lanes, Palmers Green, attacked 17-year-old Danielle Johnson behind residential garages in Palmerston Road on May 28.

The hair and beauty student at Waltham Forest College died 12 days later on June 8 at the Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead.

A post mortem revealed she died from a stab wound to the chest and head injuries.

King-Bromley pleaded guilty to her murder at the Old Bailey last month and appeared again today where he was sentenced to 12 years.

Speaking after the sentencing, Ms Johnson's father Wesley said: "I am the proud father of Danielle Johnson who was brutally attacked.

"The years given to the defendant are just a number.

"No amount of years will be able to null the pain of our loss.

"Danielle will never come back to us no matter how many years given to the guilty.

The only consolation is that the guilty person is behind bars for a long time.

"Danielle's four brothers and baby sister are still grieving and cannot understand the past year especially her four year old sister who speaks of her often.

"The fact remains; Danielle was my daughter she has left brothers and a sister, cousins, aunts, uncles, grand parents and friends behind.

Detective Inspector Phillip Howarth, from the Met's Homicide and Serious Crime Command added: "Danielle's life was cut short just as it had begun in what can only be described as a gratuitous and violent attack. Due to a guilty plea Danielle's parents and extended family and friends did not have to endure the further distress of a full trial. We hope that this provides some solace for them."

The mother of a teenage model murdered after years of bullying has criticised the authorities for not protecting her.

Danielle Johnson, 17, was stabbed and beaten to death in a daylight attack last May having endured years of abuse by teenage gangs.

The hairdressing and beauty student from Chingford was killed as she walked to a friend's house in Palmerston Road, Bounds Green. She spent two weeks in a coma after emergency surgery for brain and lung injuries before she died. Marc King-Bromley, 17, yesterday admitted at the Old Bailey murdering the student, who was so badly beaten her mother, Jan Johnson, could only recognise her from a distinguishing mark on her wrist. Mrs Johnson had petitioned Waltham Forest Council to move the family after Danielle was beaten and mugged 20 times, and was due to visit a new property the day after the fatal attack. Her daughter had been forced to move to temporary housing in Tottenham because of the extent of the attacks a month before her death.

Today Mrs Johnson said the family - including her two young sons Renelle, six and Tyrelle, two - were still suffering a campaign of harassment from those connected to King-Bromley.

She said: "We are still here and this person has friends and gang members who know where we live and I don't feel safe here.

"Every time the court case was coming up her grave was attacked, flowers burnt.
"After her death, Danielle's room was burgled and all her personal things were taken. No one took responsibility.

"We were on a priority housing list because of her suffering for more than three years. The police said they could not protect her. I am very angry with the council - they were never interested.

"Even now cars pull up outside and then speed off whenever I open the door.

Most of the time I don't even sleep upstairs now. Whenever Renelle hears anything outside he screams. He does not understand. He keeps saying Danielle has been gone a long time and should be coming back.

"We are all in counselling. My partner Pat has left after 14 years because of the pressure and stress of everything."

A post mortem examination revealed Danielle died from a stab wound to the chest and a head injury from the attack near the busy North Circular road on a bank holiday Monday.

Mrs Johnson said the family had been "destroyed" by the 17-year-old's murder, and knowing that her daughter's killer had been caught still did not give her comfort.

"They have got the right person but there is not going to be any justice.

"Danielle was my only daughter. When he (King-Bromley) killed her he took the soul of our family.

"Danielle did not have a chance to vote, take her driving test, get married or have children. She had so much going for her.

"He will be out in his twenties and have his whole life ahead of him.

"He is a monster. He stood in the dock winking and blowing kisses to Danielle's friends. He did not care at all.

"It is just sickening. I will never forgive him. If there was an electric chair I would be there pulling the lever. Danielle's life is over. Our life is over. We will suffer forever."

King-Bromley will be sentenced on 11 April.

I just so wiished she had uprooted herself out of violent london earlier...and to think the murderers family and friend still persist in harrassing this family is just beyond belief...the electric chair is too good for this lot how about being hung upside down
