Always felt this was a bad idea, especially when the topic is of a sensitive nature, but anyway to each their own.

i find it a bit funny when people (usually newbies) claim they are seeking advie on behalf of a "friend" or family member. Or post it in the guise or a hypothetical situation. These forums are annonymous unless you choose to reveal your identity, so why bother to lie? I find it particularly funny when they are asking on the behalf of someone else, yet seem to have very intimate details of the persons life(!) and claim that the person doesn't mnd their business being shared with all and sundry!

I don't think we should fret over if a problem is aired, whether by newbies or not but focus on the problem they wish to share.

Some people judge too much on this forum why some prefer to be anon.
