Okay, I was given some info on job which is not being adverstised via the regular channels...got a call from the manager who has asked me to call HR and obtain the applie pack..

You should ask whoever gave you the info about the job what's really happening with the HR dept. If there is a problem then they sould'nt be wasting your time.

Well if the people up at HR appears to be a bunch of idiots, then I would hate to think of the state of the other departments. That kind of s*** would totally put me off.

Then again, maybe that is their intention, to put you off from applying.

Or it could be that this one idiot is behaving as though the salery is coming from her own pocket and she's not forthcoming with the particulars. Either way I have already decided to contact the HR one more time...if no joy I will speak to the person who directed me in the first place. I actually believe she is just playing silly buggers and will mail me the info tomorrow. However, as I said in first post... what will this fool do with my applie.
