(Taken from The Sun Tv Guide) Just over a year ago, Marshall lived in Zimbabwe and didn't speak a word of English. Now, he natters away in Geordie accent and is one of the most popular kids in his Tyneside school.
"I'm friends with everyone now" smiles Marshall, who lives in North Shields. "I was nervous on my first day at school because I didn't know anyone. Then I became best friends with Carl after he asked me to play football"
This film is the 2nd annual installment of a 56 year project following the lives of 3 children who have moved to the UK.
The other kids who are all about to trun 12, include Altynay, from Kyrgystan-a former Soviet Republic. She now lives in Barnsley and has become a rock chick. And there's Imran from Pakistan, who lives in Peterborough, and loves cricker and singing.
Marshal has integrated so well, he feels awkward when asked to wear an African warrior style outfit for a traditioanl Zimbabwean dance. "THIS IS FRAKING ME OUT" he complains.
