THE Right Brain vs Left Brain test -

THE Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?
If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.
Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

It seemed pretty obvious to me that the dancer was turning clockwise, so was surprised to find out that most people would see her turning anti clockwise.
Right brain function all apply to me though, except the last two!

Something is weird here.
When I first looked at it, it was going anti-clockwise. I tried concentrating to make it go the other way and couldn't do it. I then right-clicked on the image to save it to my hard drive. It stopped during the save and then started up again.
But it was going in the oppoite direction.

If when you first veiw this image her back is facing you. then she is going clockwise If she is facing you then she is going anti clockwise
So what does it mean if you are able to see her going in both directions?
If we do not have an accurate analysis of the problem, we cannot possibly develop a good strategy to resolve it.

I'm with Tahliba.
If I don't have my browser in full screen mode and grab the window and move it the dancer stops and starts again. The direction can change. I haven't noticed what position it has to be in to change.

I can see the dancer clockwise and anticlockwise. Her direction can be changed at random (your will). Forget about logic when viewing as logic will tell you that her arm is leading the spin (anticlock wise - left brain). A different point of reference - protruding leg will spin her clockwise (right brain). Anyways it worked for me ....

I can see her going clockwise and non clockwise. I wonder if that has to do with both sides of the brain being more fully integrated. I read something once that said, that women tend to have better communication between both hemispheres than men do. I don't know if that's true or not.

Yeah, thats what the person who forwarded it to me said, if you can switch your thinking the dancer switches with your thought pattern from right to left, anti clockwise to clockwise. Women are better at it it seems.
Spins anti clockwise for me, can't seem to get her to spin the other way. Only changed when I followed Umbras formula... think Sekhmet got the whole rotary thing.
Thought I was more right brained than left to be honest.
** Got it! Play some music and nod to the track, the moment you stop trying to see it change it changes, guess doing something creative would have the same effect. **

If i look at the image from the corner of my eye it switches. ie looking at the tv as well as the laptop, and it works. I can change fgrom side to side by swicthing from corner to corner. Cant do it if i look directly at the image though unless i stare at it for a few minutes or so.....weird
