For years, I've known that there's a deep mistrust between Black and Asian people. A lot of Black people believe Asians are obsessed with money, treat their own people like s***, force marriage, commit honour killings, sell Afro-Caribbean products at high prices, give bad service and suck up to the White man if it suits them.

But then, many Asians would say, Black people, sell and use drugs, kill each other, run around in gangs, can't be trusted, have children everywhere, have undisciplined children at school, lack ambition, blame racism and are generally lazy.

Despite this, I'm sure Black men have had Asian partners, Black-Asian children, friends and family.

So why is there this mistrust and is it true or not really true?

What are your experiences?

They would say that but Asians been into large scale drug selling on an international scale long before us. Asians been killing each other from day one but women aint seen as people so they don't count. Whatever they say on other issues who actually cares because they said the same thing when they were in Kenya, Tanzania etc when they were benefiting from freeness of the backs of Africans so no biggie to me..

Got Asian colleagues who are police officers, academics, lawyers etc who are good reliable guys.They need something from me I help them. I need something from them if i can help i help.We get on fine...Still run down and expose the majority of their people and even their own family members when i have to and wouldn't want my son or daughter especially to marry one...Never..A few swallows do not make a summer..

There are a few, and I mean a few I get on with.

However as far as the wider community is concerned no.

They just want our money. As long as we shop in there businesses they will ACT (the key word), as if we are there best friends.

Whenever they come in contact with black people they put on some act,

eg " What you saying blood", "Wha gwan"


As for marrying them, a definate no.

What people need to realisie is that when you marry someone you are not marrying just the, You are marrying into there culture, and it will be a part of the development of your relationship plus your children's lives forever..

Knowing this, then how in the hell could I marry into a culture which looks down on me because I am an African.

Whether they look down on me or not there is no way in hell I would every marry one. I think it's important for black people to have kids that are only black.

There is this thread on this other site that's more than 24 pages long where these black women are cooing all over Asian men and talking about how gorgeous they are. I'm egyptianqueen. I and some other women just had to give them a piece of our minds.

Yes of course. You can be friends with whomever you wish on a personal level.

Some of you are perpetuating the Asian myth that they're all upper middle class shopkeepers and business leaders. They'll have you believe they're all docs and lawyers if you listen to them. I live in East London. Bengalis and Pakistanis where I live and grew up are way down in the money pecking order and far higher than us in the heavy drug useage and gang warfare scene. It's so ridicolously grimey they don't even try that Southall media pretentious nonsense... bout they look down on us lol... They know they're gutter. Oh on TV and in certain areas they got shit on lock and yeah they've an interest in making you believe that (hey who wouldn't?) but cut through the crap.

Alabama girl. Quick point, over in the UK who we refer to as "Asians" isn't the same as who you do simply because of numbers and history. "Asians" in the UK are Pakistanis, Bengalis, Indians, Sri Lankans and other groups. Who you would refer to as "Asians" ie Koreans, Chinese, Vietnamese aren't here in big enough numbers to affect us like that or form a significant grouping. Sure geographically it's ALL Asia and we know that but I thought I'd point it out. The Asians we refer to are the largest non white group in the UK outnumbering us and therefore we interact (well and not so well) with them far more than the orientals who are a tiny fraction of the population.
