Did you confirm that yourself ? Because I've heard the argument before ...and I've found a huge hole in it.

There is no law. Apparently I am under the impression that there isn't a law requiring the filing of a tax return to the IRS nor is their a law to extract Federal Income Tax. If you believe that to be so, then point to it and I'll concede.

The constutionalists forget to explain to people that while the US constitution is the framework, the ACTUAL laws of the land are the U.S.C. United States Codes.

and the specific part of that code which covers personal income taxes is

USC
TITLE 26 > Subtitle A > CHAPTER 1 > Subchapter A > PART I .

when Snipes is tried, the actual law(s) he violated will be spelled out...and if convicted, he may be required to pay the "fine" and do the "imprisonment" as defined by the code.

Huh?

There is a difference between a "Code" and a "Law". The Tax Codes are not laws.

The tax codes tell you how to tax, however, the law has to be in place to state what to tax and from my estimation that is not established in any U.S. law.

The United States Code is the codification by subject matter of the general and permanent laws of the United States. It is divided by broad subjects into 50 titles and published by the Office of the Law Revision Counsel of the U.S. House of Representatives. Since 1926, the United States Code has been published every six years. In between editions, annual cumulative supplements are published in order to present the most current information. Documents are available only as ASCII text files.

I think the argument has always been that the laws state you can tax "income", but the way the framers defined "income" was the profits of corporate activity. This cannot be broadened to the individual wages of a person's labor.
