On second glance who are the people you now can't believe you used to like? -

Ok so i'm on that tip today....but i was thinking in light of Judge J's comments...on Denise Lewis.. I used to fancy the pants off that woman..she was the epitomey of Black beauty....then unfortunately I got to know the real Denise and her love for the bluefoot, then her ****ed behaviour on Strictly..and now her total sell out in denouncing Marion Jones like a 'good n.igger'....
Being a true gunner...Ian Wright used to be an Idol..until I saw this prat, kiss up to the Yt on the Apprentice and totally diss....Tim the eventual winner of the 1st Series..Then it was like when did ian wright turn out to be a prick... Now every time I see this idiot its like he has taken Britishness lessons from frank the plank Bruno....Can't stand him..
Trevor Phillips...is another one... When he used to do the london Programme..which was a hard hitting social commentary programme on ITV..I thought it was ok... Then he left and either became a prick..or revealed himself to be a complete arsehole...and an opportunist Johnny come lately... Running for the GLA, then Mayor and then bailing out for the next paid job..the at the CRE....Then all those bullshit white wannabe moves...Wow sell out..
Paul Boteng..back in the days when he worked in Brixton he used to be a radical, running off at the lips at the Tories and the Police brutality... Then he got elected in 1987..and he turned into a prized sell out... Sinking to depths of backing a racist commissioner who failed to do ANYTHING about Stephen Lawrence.. Sell out does not do him justice...
Darcus Howe..that Man used to be the Byword for the Black struggle...then came fame..and he turned into a prized prick... It started with the Devil Adocate.. when someone told him he could present...lie!!! and it carried on with sell out agenda after agenda... what a disappointment...
So who fanous did you worship, but turned out to be a big let down...?

Michael Jordan......Ohhh what a little digging or research to ones life as is the case with MJ do U learn more about the person...and not his super-human sport figure....I really dislike him now with passion.
As a kid this was the man to be, money, best athlete, for sure the best basketball player ever...and as a Junior high school student this man was like freaking as super-human as it gets for me....What a f*cking rat he turned out to be after reading his life in the last six years.....
I can't believe I adored him that much....He has done nothing for himself, nothing for others, nothing for his community, nothing for other players, nothing for black struggle in this country, nothing but gambling/womanizer, with no clue what was happening/going around him...to me MJ has turned out to be the worst fool I have ever liked as a child.....

R Kelly & Michael Jackson for obvious reasons. Dirty fugging kiddie fiddlers
Eddie Murphy for picking up a tranny, and his womanising. Sure womanise (I won't be mad) but Eddie seems to repeatedly go out of his way to be mean and public about it which is a bitch move for a grown man.

Michael Jordan still respect his game but just not feeling the gambling and the white groupies.

It's either non-violence or non-existence. Martin Luther King Jr.

Used to be an athlete as a kid, ran with quite a few famous people, Linford being one and the last British 100m runner whos name I forget, used to train with him and his friends. No need to comment on what happened to them and the other athletes I used to respect. Only an athlete can be deemed a national hero and celebrated only to be tested for drugs found positive and dragged through the mud, stripped of any titles and shamed like that. Fact is they all do drugs of some kind, drugs being some kind of performance enhancer or another but nah man.
Its like...

Where do I start
1. Denise Lewis: I have already gone into her in another thread.
2. Gemma Hunt: She is a Presenter on CBBC. I first saw this girl on Is She MTV, and thought she was really cute. I was feeling her . Then I saw her on a programme called Talk to the Hand on Trouble (hosted by a a fine back sista called Natasha Williams aka Tash Monie) and she seemed to have some sort of issue with Black men. That kinda turned me off.
3. R.KELLY. I have all his albums up to Happy People. I was probably one of the last people in the world to see clips of his nasty antics. I grew up on his music. From his first album with public announcement, to 12 Play etc. 12 Play use to get played a lot. That album and the 1995 album were heavy.
The sex scandal has changed my views on him. However to be homest another contributing factor is that from 2000 onwards his albums have slowly become more Rap/hip hop orientated. For example he started to embrace all this RnB Thug crap, and doing more weak collabos with Hiphop Artists.
4. Snoop Doog. I use to lthing Doggystyle was a heavy album back in 1993. I can't even rememeber what happened , but from a certain point, maybe (after his follow up album) he started to repulse me, to this day I think they guy is a loser and needs to be stoned by the local black community for his stupidity, and distrespect towards Black women.
5. Cam'ron/Dipset: I didn't really like them, but there beats were addictive. That Dipset Anthem tune is always in my head. There was a period when I coldn't stop singing it.
6. Ian Wright: Now a Whitemans Black man ...Nothing more needs to be said.
7. I use to fancy Beverly Knight too, until she opened her mouth back in 2004. I still do not outright hate her, but I have lost a lot of respect for her. How can she be so defensive when it comes to gays, yet she has hardly said a thing when it comes to desths in her community.
8. This may make you guys laugh, but when I was little I use to fancy the lady from that cartoon Carmen Sandiego.

Snoop aint changed. You did. Im guessing you were fairly young when doggystyle came out. You just grew up since then is all. If Doggystyle was released today you'd be vex with it for all the reasons you said.

Not forgetting that snoop was a kid himself back then and listening to what hes saying on screen now he isn't that bad, he runs youth clubs and is always on about stopping smoking and realizing that he'd loose his family if he carries on with the hollywood lifestyle blah blah.

I have to say I still like Snoop even though he has his fingers in some off-key pies!
I still think Doggy-Style is one of the funniest CD's ive ever heard in my life..even though its not strictly comedy.
Ok my list of people I used to like but not anymore.
Eddie Murphy..........obvious reasons.
Tyra Banks
Jesse Jackson
Bill Cosby...is just about getting on my last nerve with his pontificating.
I know I have more, but havnt had time to think....will come back to this thread.
I aint asking for nothing, just open the door and i\'ll take it myself-James Brown.
