Nothing new I guess, was well balanced in that they showed what is going on up in Scotland to contrast the problems in England, english kids have been at each others throats up North as well, not too much about that they interviewed a crew in Brixton called, A.L.C, Africas lost children. Kids know wha gwan they just feel powerless about their situation. Still don't hear too much about groups organizing and engaging the youth directly, seems to work in Scotland.

Did feel that the London pictures were taken with a dark background either at night or stairways - i felt the Glasgow pictures showing them playing football and just walking around during the day. They didn't seem as a threat compared to the London boys.

The commentator also may a point that Glasgow gangs only attack each other unlike South London gangs who are involved in numerous criminal activity including street robbery. i thought that statement was unnecessary.

They didn't tell us anything new and the only solutions to the problem were the kids needed 'jobs' or 'youth clubs'.

I watched it and thought the reporters were rather naive and gullible to be taking the word of 15 year olds so seriously.

That's exactly what I was saying, I was like, what, does that make them better or something?? But you know even though the programme was somewhat balanced they still had to sneak in a lil sumthing to get their agenda across.

why do our youths get roped in or are too naive smoking 'the chief' when the cameras are rolling...nothing new to be honest apart from the postcodes now becoming alleyways or soon enough they wouldn't be able to get past their corridors...the Glasgow lot just so look so much more optimistic 'hidden agenda' when compared to the Blacks looking all grime and hopeless you just comapre the YT and Black endings...its a myth that black kids hardly have any fun its just some stupid idiots always want to ruin the fun for everyone...not once did they show black youths having any form of socialising like all they do is stab each other 24/7...there is a big problem but i guess they wanted it as grimey and hopeless as possible to suit their Middle of the road viewers make them feel good about themselves...
Me and a mate were having a conversation about this today and he mentioned enough black families have been socially engineered to believe YTs don't discipline their kids how come they always do well?? guess it was a pat on the back...the Govt tells the lower classes all the bullshit don't discipline your kids-both parents work yourself to the bone and we wonder why we have issues??...get back to the African culture let this kids know they are living a charmed life...bored??what the f*ck??...i have seen kids in Africa and i'm sure those you have been and lived in the caribbean can testify to this...go to school and afterwards hawk goods in the street...let this kids learn how to humble themselves but then the parents are hardly any better to lead by example!!

It was shallow, managed to make it out as though we're the problem in England but a world away scotland is having problems too... no mention of the same mentality amongst white english kids they only mentioned a few at the end. Out of order really, those english parents must be pissed off... did they even mentino the shooting of that 15 year old?

They did show some guys in Brixton (I think) playing pool in a centre with a leaking roof.
But it was a 1 min piece compared to the Glasgow boys playing football and 'engaging' with the police to get gangs to share playing fields ('nice and civilised').
