admired Paul for not being held to ransom, take your fight all the way cos at the end of the day there's little she can do him. I was the same, people looking to make deals while holding your children and mortgage to ransom but trying to drop it like they are trying to be civil...let's see what's coming out of your mouth without the children and the marital rights, precisely the same thing before you had them, fcuk all.

Paul was a fool looking some old school loving from pikney....to think with all that money she didn't have to cook or clean but still fell short of the mark. After todays hearing it's so obvious how far she was willing to go to get as much money as she can...these muppets only fool themselves.

The actual judgement is worth a read - its nearly sixty pages, but easy to follow - the first few pages and the last few give you the headlines - skip the legal arguments. Can be accessed here:

The Mills-McCartney judgement

All I know is that if a senior judge wrote about me what he's written about Heather Mills, I'd be keeping my ass quiet. For a long time. Pretty much called her a liar without using that word - for a judge to go public with something like that is strong.

Truly a morality tale for our times.

Divorce a woman tomorrow and they are all like this, it's all about what they can get out of it whilst trying to save their public image as much as possible. For the women who haven't been there you'd probably surprise yourself to know when the crunch comes you're most likely to be no different. To think, you believe you're marrying your African Princess and the truth is you might just as well of been married to Heather.

Divorced women all over the world sharing their stories of what they got out of the deal. Don't know if it's the stress of it all but Heather just looks loony, to be honest she looks quite evil, still, nothing 24million can't sort out. You need to look at this dough for what it is and not what it is compared to what Paul is worth, it's some whole heap a money...it will be making more in interest every month than the 35k the daughter will be getting annually from Paul.

Incognito - stop generalising! stop it! I agree Heather Mills is a bit looney; and I acknowledge you can relate to Paul McCartney from your experiences (though your ex's side of the story is not known) but you cannot say that about all women - especially many black women eg like me who owned my own property & had my own money before I met my partner....you guys on here talking as if you are all millionaires like Paul McCartney; cos I sure know enough black women who love their man but if they had to split up would be wondering: what money?
Agree, thats what I don't understand with divorce.
You want to leave your partner but you want to live that lifestyle you had before.

Divorce should mean an end to the life you had.

Next they be saying I've grown accustomed to sleeping with my partner 4 nights a week so need that to continue !!
That tickled me

Anyone who spent two whole years, sleeping with that dried up old fossil, deserves more than 24 million

I would expect much more!!!

N.B - haven't heard one story where assets are involved where the woman hasn't gone for broke...even those who had their own to begin with. Heather Mills was trying to say she was totally financially independent with 2 or 3 million in the bank before she met Paul and how much money she would have had now if she carried on doing her own thing instead of marrying him who stopped her in her tracks.

Indeed I was lucky in that my ex was a money monkey, it was her own assets that frigged her up in the end in that she tried to mask them off so they wouldn't be involved in marital rights equation. She was on her own mission, had her career, a house she rents out for her pension and her own home which she shared with other family members, all she needed now was her kids and a punk to feed finance them.

Even now I'm waiting for her to go to court to sort out the finances and tell me where I'm living but it's like she either can't afford it or too scared that she might actually come out the worse off.

i'm kind of lucky in that I don't need any money out of it indeed my philosophy is any money that was spent in that relationship was spent on the children and was money that belongs to my children, anybody who spent money on anything else like investing in property better go to the system to get it.

I must admit I saw enough to suspect she was a money thing I just thought maybe the children would make her see a different picture...because the marriage license didn't. What the lord provided for his children in the garden of Eden, Eve wanted for herself.

They say an erect penis has no conscience, well a woman scorned is even worse...especially if she never have a conscience to begin with. Saving face and money and like to play the innocent fairy to get it. Complain that as a man you should be doing this and that yet when they sell themself to the system they become these all doing dedicated mothers who nothing but nothing comes before their children. Damn liars.

Deel1te - hmm...that almost sounds like a form of prostitution.

N.B will agree with you on one thing, put me and the ex wife in a room and ask why it broke up and you'll get two completely different answers - two different levels of consciousness, chalk and cheese, the different names we chose for the children say it all and show the different roots in anything we do.

Two people can be doing the same thing on the surface but the mind and the drive behind it are totally different.

Generalise? I look forward to meeting the exception to the rule.

Well it's not the first divorce and definitely not the last though admittedly divorce always seems to focus on the settlement, like that's all it means. check the irony, you have to pay somebody some money because they didn't represent....almost like working and paying someone money to live like a tramp.

Heather had nothing to lose so she might as well try and milk it for what she can but demanding how much she should get really shows you what she is all about. Also think there is a difference between marrying into wealth and two people who built their thing together. Still, for the 2 to 3 million Heather reckons she had in the bank before she met Paul, you think she's declaring that as a maeans to adding it to the kitty for dividing up...nope, that's hers, always was always will be yet she looks at what was Paul's money before he met her as hers.

In my case there's a kind of argument that suggests because the ship was built on fraud or a hustle then there is no such thing as an equal divide, everyone just scrapes up what they can. I actually encouraged my ex to go for as much as she can just to see what she was actually defending and man do not underestimate the willingness to lie, in the end it was like my trump card being able to show her up for the liar she is.

But even here, what is lies to a rational mind is simply survival to another, check the background, check the stock where these people come from, when class collides it's very serious, even more so when they collide when raising the children. Still, I might have to humble myself and start using this marital rights thing to my advantage.

For all the talk you hear about the women get everything I found to some degree that marriage/divorce actually helps protect men from women who use the children against them in fact I'd go as far as saying a babymother/independent woman (mentality wise) wouldn't expect or wouldn't want to get married because it gives the man too much rights when all they need is maintenance money.

One more thing, I'm not in to star signs and all that but men who know women have told me the January ones are the worse.

strange thing is he sang a song over 30 - 40 years ago with these lyrics
and he got divorced when he was 63 or 64

" when im 64 "

When I get older,
losing my hair,
many years from now.
Will you still be sending me a Valentine,
birthday greetings, bottle of wine?

If I've been out
till quarter to three,
would you lock the door?
Will you still need me,
will you still feed me,
when I'm sixty-four?

You'll be older too
And if you say the word
I could stay with you

I could be handy, mending a fuse,
when your lights are gone.
You can knit a sweater by the fireside.
Sunday morning go for a ride.

Doing the garden,
digging the weeds,
who could ask for more?
Will you still need me,
will you still feed me,
when I'm sixty-four?

Every summer we can rent a cottage in the isle of Wight
if it's not too dear.
Grandchildren on our knees
Vera, Chuck and Dave.

Send me a postcard,
drop me a line,
stating point of view.
Indicate precisely what you mean to say.
Yours sincerely wasting away.

Give me your answer,
fill in a form, -
mine for ever more.
Will you still need me,
will you still feed me
when I'm sixty-four
