What happened to Black Nationalism?

Or was it only a response to a more direct culture of White Nationalism prevailant not so long ago?

Was wondering if I could describe myself as being a Black Nationalist, remember wanting to when I was younger but don't think I can now... Afro-Centricsm seems to have taken its place but I'd say its missing (Black Nationalism) from the agenda.

Are we getting slack?

You,re asking what happened to black nationalism? If a pro black nationalist brotha rose now up do you think the majority of black folks would back him up? i posted a thread a while ago about checking out some video footage of the late brotha Khalid Mohammed in a debate breaking it down ,it was old footage but still relevant in my opinion ,not a single response .Too many black folks nowadays especially the younger generation that are just plain brain washed into thinking about eurocentric idealogies,but when the shit hits the fan these are the same **** ups that will be squacking about wheres the support form the black community etc.

I'm actually not sure..... know what happened to Black Nationalism in the states but what I'm saying is that it didn't need to end there seems as though the definition has changed with time but they've failed to keep up....

Theres a chasm out there for people coming from a certain background, Black Nationalism would otherwise fill that void and teach young people the need to protect themselves and the community (properly) rather than be lulled into a multi cultural mish mash of nothing... encouraging them to read and take up being Afro-Centric won't/isn't working as it isn't addressing peoples needs.

Different in Amerikkka perhaps but with the E.U taking shape we're going to be needing it again... if not already, lord knows whats happening out in France and those places, Spain etc. I mean we got our asses kicked up in Birmingham and people are going back to those same stores like they enjoyed it... if we had a Black National group they'd be out there putting up posters waking people up, handing out flyers reminding people that they can't allow themselves to be abused like that, all diplomatically of course.

Actually in order to have Black Nationalism, there has to be plans to build a Black Nation. Although there are countless books and articles articulating how this can be done, very few if any have actually attempted to create a nation (nuwabians, NOI, African Hebrew Israelites.) Unfortunantely all of the organizations who have actually tried to create a nation are not African centered organizations. They all espouse Arabic or Hebrew nationalism.

In order to have a nation the following criteria must be met:

You must have land
You must be an exporter of goods and services
You must have an arm of defense for the nation
You must have a governing body to regulate the people and resources and
You must have a systematized way to educate your people and have methods of research to advance your educational system.

If you do not have all of these variables working simultaneously, then you do NOT have a nation. No nation, no NATIONALISM. So Black Nationalism failed before it began because these were not in the works. You cannot build a NATION inside another NATION. It's impossible.

Thecnology makes national boundaries somewhat irrelevant. They really only serve the purposes of so called LEADERS. They only make artificial barriers between most of the people. We obviously need to focus on economic self interest and you don't do that these days without technology
