Default Privatization of the revolution... can you sell out to ''buy in''? - 08-04-08, 11:53 AM

Can you use money gained from selling out to help fund the revolution?

After reading KRS Ones interview talking about Hip Hop artists working with large corporations ending with him saying;

Interview: Hip-Hop Legend KRS-ONE Seizes New Ways for Rap to Work with Major Brands

Quote:
Fake-ass closet protesters weekend warriors or barroom philosophers talk a good game but the real question is who’s going to finance the revolution?
Can a Carribean or South American person work for the United Fruit Company and use his or her earnings to fight against the strife in their country? Or a Nigerian person work for Shell and use his earnings to help Rebels take on the corporation in the Delta? Not comparing it to going to work generally and attending community meetings when you can, reading excerpts of ''Race First'' to the kids in the evening, thats diffrent, its not direct would say a lot of us lessen that impact in various ways... I don't know.

What do you think?

Black Lion is... Agu Bu Oji in Igbo, Simba nyeusi in Swahili, the name of a hospital in Addis Adaba the capital of Ethiopia.
