Teenager murdered in bakery shop

A teenager has died after being attacked by a customer in a bakery shop in south-east London.

Jimmy Mizen, who was 16 on Friday, was fatally injured in the shop on Burnt Ash Hill, Hither Green, after being assaulted on Saturday.

Police said the teenager, who lived in the area, was involved in an argument with a youth who then attacked him.

London Ambulance Service were also called to the incident but the youngster died at the scene.

Eyewitness Matthew Fletcher, who lives nearby, said he had seen the attack in the shop.

He said: "I was in my house and I heard a smash. I looked out of the window and saw a boy in his early twenties and suddenly I saw him with a sign smashing the shop door, kicking it through.

"He's forced his way into the shop, run behind the counter and was hitting somebody with the sign.

"I see somebody in a blue polo top trying to stop him. That went on for a minute and then suddenly he came running out of the shop.
He's started sprinting off up the road."

Detective Chief Inspector Cliff Lyons, from the Metropolitan Police, said: "This is another tragic incident where a young victim has lost his life, and our sympathies are with his family and friends.

"There was an argument between Jimmy and the suspect, following which Jimmy was assaulted and he sustained serious neck injuries.

"The suspect, described as a male youth, made off from the scene up Burnt Ash Hill towards Burnt Ash Lane.

"I would urge anyone who was in and around the Burnt Ash Hill area at the time of the incident to call us at our incident room with any information they may have."

Im guessing but this sounds like a "have a go hero" incident and another mental heatlh patient who should have been sectioned but hasnt due to bureaucracy.

A european teenager has been murdered, the police know the identity of the murderer, and it seems likely that the murdered teenager may also have known him.

Is London the only place where this happens?

Given the size of the population...Murder Averages in terms of occurrences in a particular community this time the Black Community the answer would be a resounding YES!!

Man murdered near Oxford Circus

A man has died after being stabbed in London's most famous shopping street.

The victim, who was in his early 20s, was attacked in Oxford Street and his heart had stopped when paramedics reached him.

It is believed he was stabbed outside a branch of McDonald's about 100 yards from Oxford Circus underground station in the direction of the Centre Point building.

The man was rushed to St Thomas' hospital by ambulance shortly after the attack at 4.45pm on Monday, when the area was thronged with shoppers and tourists.

He was pronounced dead later.

A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said they were called to reports of a stabbing.

He said: 'Our first vehicle arrived within five minutes and we found a male in his 20s who was in cardiac arrest.'

Police cordoned off a section of Oxford Street while they began a murder inquiry.

A witness said: 'I just heard the screaming and then saw a couple of black guys run past us.

'Someone told me later on it was one of the security guards that works in a sports shop down the road.

'He had kicked these guys out of the shop and they had attacked him.

'Then the ambulance arrived and they got to work on him. It looked very serious. I just wonder if he's married and he has a wife who is expecting him home.'

Transport for London said they had to divert the 7, 8, 10, 25, 55, 73, 98, 176 and 390 bus routes as a stretch of Oxford Street remained closed on Monday night.

I'm aware to the fact that a higher premium is placed on YT death even in death there is prejudice...death at a young age is sad at most however with the western media i see a disturbing particular trait for the maimed YT kid they always portrayed on average as angelic...taking GCSES..good in sports..helpful..e.t.c e.t.c whilst on average the African kid is perceived first to be from a broken troubled home-in a gang..but that is not always the case some really good African children have lost their lives
In regards to the continual steady rise of violence in the UK i still stand by what i said for a so called Developed country its a disgrace and please lets not try comparing them to those dubious stats of so called developing countries because the socio-econmic realities are well .....poles apart

WTF?? Stabbing someone in broad daylight on the busiest street in the country??They'll get caught by the end of today.

what is even more disturbing is if the re;ports are true that the victim was killed because he did his job...since when does a man deserve to lose his life for that?

I hope so.
but remember.....the youth shot on a south london ice rink, roughly 300 people were there and no progress has been made.
