Not sure how you guys feel about this, but i am really disappointed in him for doing his "Lets glamourize Pimpin show", Flavour of love.
I know its quite entertaining, but considering where he started, ie Public Enemy, screaming about "Fight the Power" and such, for him to now turn around and have a house full of ho's, black ones at that, and play out the cackling, pimpin baffoon stereo type that a lot of the white populous think of us is astonishing.
I wonder what Chuck D makes of it...
I suppose its indicative of what has happened to hip-hop in general.
Am i being over sensitive or do you guys feel where i'm coming from?

First off i hate the term 'sell out' but i don't approve of Flavour Flav's show, it is in a way playing into the idea that to be black and sucessfull on mainstream TV you must partake in a 'Minstrel Show'.
The 'Ho's' etc...i watch this and i'm amazed. Coming from such a conscious movement such as Public Enemy i would have assumed this would have been 'Beneath' him, but hey he isn't Chuck D, and as always money talks...

Yeah, i know what you mean re the title and "sell out" just couldn't think of a better term.
It just feels like it makes a mockery of Public Enemies' message and sends a real broad side to those who found something positive in they had to say. Again, MR YT TV executive must laughing his head off, cos an exponent of positive african messages has been shown as being what they always said we were. Gangsters Pimps and Hoes.

Flavor Flav was ALWAYS a coon from day one, even in his PE days. I can remember many years back watching interviews with PE and the look of embarassment on Chuck D's face whenever Flav opened his mouth. PE's topics were the most serious in hip hop history yet in every video Flav is behaving like some looney twat with his monkey ass not taking the issues seriously. I always used to wonder why Chuck D allowed that fool in his group.
This show is just him being his coonish self.

to me the sellouts are the "respected" Black people who take part in these types of shows....
My girl just confirmed to me that this lady who i saw a guest on one of these flavor shows was an editor of Essense magazine....
Flav is a clown and not to be taken seriously....now or before....
an editor of essensce magazine , is a different case......

I actually find the Flavor of Love series interesting and entertaining. Flav is funny though, sorry y'all. Can't wait to see who wins and the reunion. If anyone's been watching they say Black is going to win. Flav has a thing for white women anyway. But who cares, seeing as how he's hideous.

Flavour Flav is a friggin moron ,i caught a glimpse of that reality show of his "Flavour of Love or Love Flav whatever" could'nt stand watching it,could'nt stand watching him ,definetly coonisim of the highest order, you have to be seriously brain dead to be caught up in that shit.I mentioned on a previous post of how chuck D why he would ever have a misfit like Flavour Flav in such a concious band like PE.I read Chuck D,s biography and i still can't figure out why Flavour Flav was ever in the band in the first place .The idiot has nothing of any importance say period.
