I saw this lady,I would say she was around 27/28 years old and of African descent.
Anyway she was kitted out on in all the latest garms,she was carrying a Prada bag which must have cost at least £700 pounds......and then..............peep this....
She started sucking her thumb.
Talk about ruining a look!!!
I just sat there transfixed,it just looked so wrong.This is not the first time i've seen adults sucking their thumbs,usually they are female,plus I just think after everything the human hand encounters in a day there's no way I would even want to put my thumb in my mouth...yuck.
Has anyone else encountered this phenomenon???

My cousin is 25 and still sucks her thumb, usually only at home but it wouldn't surprise me if she did it when was tired and out in public. My gran used to put pepper on her thumb, and my aunty told her to stop because she'll grow out of it... See that people, not every child grows out of it!

I saw a girl doing this a few weeks back. It looks really stupid to be doing it in public people will think that you have some kind of problem.
I think that some people might think that it is fashionable now or something.

My cousin who just turned 20 years old last month has been doing this as long as I knew her. Long before she was 8 years old. She still does it. She just had an adorable baby girl, too.

my friend sucks her thumb and encourages kids to do the same. she used to have a bad habit of speaking to you on the phone while she sucked her thumb
my cousin has 4 kids and still sucks her thumb
my 2nd boy started sucking his thumb within minutes of being born we been pulling that thumb out of his mouth ever since. he stopped now teething and has started again so been working on stopping that.
the funniest thing about this thread is that my hubs sees thumb sucking a girl thing and he is disgusted when my friend is sucking her thumb he says 'whe de big gal a suck her thumb' lol

Also how the heck can you understand her on the phone when she's got her thumb in her mouth?
I guess I shouldn't make fun if some peeps get comfort out of it but I just don't understand how you dont grow out of it.
