He plagarized this???

I can imagine him sitting in front of the TV with a blunt as big as my arm digging on some cartoons and childrens programmes and getting "inspiration" for this joint,no pun intended.

You have to wait til about one minute thirty into the vid to hear what i'm talking about.

There is no such thing as an original thought, for a start. And the tune was released and completed post his death.

Further the whoy oy oy chant was used in a reggae tune many years before (can't remember what or who by) But I remember as school girls (an handful of blacks in an all white catholic school) we used the chant to wind up teachers.

I do have to say that this paticular tune was the worst that ever came out of his camp...I trully hate it's and it full of contradictions.

Sis let it go...leave it to the nerds on You Tube to ponder.

Let it go?? Sis i'm hardly latched onto it,I just find the similarities amusing that's all.
A more interesting off-shoot of this thread would be for you to expound on the "contradictions".

Oh and by the way i'm a fully paid up member of the "youtube nerd" club,I hold my hands up.

Contradictions??... Worst ever?

Explanation...?

I wanted to know if the Dagara elders could tell the diffrence between fiction and reality. The elders did not understand what a starship is, they did not understand what the fussy uniforms had to do with anything but they recognized in Spock a Kontomble of the seventh planet... they had never seen a Kontomble that big.

I think dude might be referring to Black soldiers being used as part of western forces there to drive off the native americans.

I love the song.....it was one of the first bob marley records I ever heard...partly because they used to air the music video on rap video shows.....

Buffalo Soldier lyrics
Buffalo Soldier, Dreadlock Rasta:
There was a Buffalo Soldier in the heart of America,
Stolen from Africa, brought to America,
Fighting on arrival, fighting for survival.

I mean it, when I analyze the stench -
To me it makes a lot of sense:
How the Dreadlock Rasta was the Buffalo Soldier,
And he was taken from Africa, brought to America,
Fighting on arrival, fighting for survival.

Said he was a Buffalo Soldier, Dreadlock Rasta -
Buffalo Soldier in the heart of America.

If you know your history,
Then you would know where you coming from,
Then you wouldn't have to ask me,
Who the 'eck do I think I am.

I'm just a Buffalo Soldier in the heart of America,
Stolen from Africa, brought to America,
Said he was fighting on arrival, fighting for survival;
Said he was a Buffalo Soldier win the war for America.

Dreadie, woy yoy yoy, woy yoy-yoy yoy,
Woy yoy yoy yoy, yoy yoy-yoy yoy!
Woy yoy yoy, woy yoy-yoy yoy,
Woy yoy yoy yoy, yoy yoy-yoy yoy!
Buffalo Soldier troddin' through the land, wo-ho-ooh!
Said he wanna ran, then you wanna hand,
Troddin' through the land, yea-hea, yea-ea.

Said he was a Buffalo Soldier win the war for America;
Buffalo Soldier, Dreadlock Rasta,
Fighting on arrival, fighting for survival;
Driven from the mainland to the heart of the Caribbean.

Singing, woy yoy yoy, woy yoy-yoy yoy,
Woy yoy yoy yoy, yoy yoy-yoy yoy!
Woy yoy yoy, woy yoy-yoy yoy,
Woy yoy yoy yoy, yoy yoy-yoy yoy!

Troddin' through San Juan in the arms of America;
Troddin' through Jamaica, a Buffalo Soldier# -
Fighting on arrival, fighting for survival:
Buffalo Soldier, Dreadlock Rasta.

Woy yoy yoy, woy yoy-yoy yoy,
Woy yoy yoy yoy, yoy yoy-yoy yoy!
Woy yoy yoy, woy yoy-yoy yoy,
Woy yoy yoy yoy, yoy yoy-yoy yoy!

@All

What do the lyrics mean?

@Jet

interpret what? Can you explain the meaning behind those lyrics to me?

They make no sense and it isn't even a good tune. Personally I think he was still developing an idea/the song. It certainly isn't complete.

Imagine the man who gave us this

Ok ,Tahliba YOU said the song was full of "contradictions"I was hoping you'd highlight those for me,even easier now that Black Lion has pasted the text into the thread.

If your argument is that it's a shyte song,then fair enough but when you say "contradictions" i'd like to know what you mean,where?,when?,why?,how ?
etc...

If you want to retract "contradictions" and just say the song isn't to your tastes,then fine,no need for me to explore this line of questioning any further.

If someone sez to me it's been proven that you can grow broccoli and peas on the surface of the Sun,i'm not gonna be like"ooo that's cool" and move on..show me some evidence.
