ugh. this really turned my stomach hard. Makes me want to cry.
If this is true I could only believe that they weren't used merely for bait (as small animals/dogs would do the job) I believe there would have had to have been a sick entertainment aspect associated with it.

in old advertising ads...... they had little black children depicted like this all the time....

to sell products....It was in looking over these old ads that I ran across the "pickaninny" term which was also used to describe little Black babies.....

when you talk about heartless people, imagine being so animalistic that you could find such a depiction of children..to be amusing....

For some reason I didn't find this at all shocking, perhaps its because I'm caribbean.

Can see them doing far worse things to children.

When I was far down south I heard that term gator bait before, but it went clear over my head. Never knew why they said that. This clears up alot.

Stories like this make the phrase 'that was the past, move on' seem even more so annoying.

Geese man! Which part of the Caribbean are you from where they do 'far worse' things to children than feed them to Alligators.

There are those who feel that the only way to ‘prove their own worth’ is by ‘devaluing the worth of others’. You will often find that a man who is compelled to measure his substance against the substance of another, has little of substance in the first place!

cant see the difference between gator bait and blowing folk up on cannons like they did in the carribean... the fact they were children is irrelivent.

infact some would argue that they were better off dead that to live the life of slavery that lay before them.

just re-enforces my feeling about "these" people that I already had in the firstplace

Only the best is good enough....

What i find more disturbing from the fact that white used black babies as bait. Is the state of African countries today, the way the leaders treat their citizens. It's ironic that people are more horrified about babies used as bait, than what is happening in 2008. No doubt is sicken what happened 500 years ago, but we should be more out raged from the current Human right problems in Mother Africa today. There are many horror stories than this, but i choose to try and advance mother Africa as i can

Truly strange, it's as if people have become numb. I'm more concern with the constant Human Right violation against my fellow African brothers/ sisters.

Most people in Africa are held hostage by their leaders OR the opposition.
Most of the leaders are not elected by the people. It's the same thing over and over. People have to come up with a brand new way to attack the issue. Same here, it's the same over and over. Just because people have DVD's and computers doesn't mean they're not held in bondage either.
