Hi everyone,
We hope you are well.
Please join the government bone marrow petition to introduce a compulsory talk about blood, bone marrow and organ donation into 6th form colleges. The petition currently stands at just over 7,000.
This appeal was originally set up by 26 year old Adrian Sudbury. Adrian was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2007 and received a bone marrow transplant. Sadly in April 2008 the leukaemia returned and Adrian decided that he would not continue with any further treatment. His dying wish is to ensure that all 6 formers are taught about the importance of registering as bone marrow, blood and organ donors. The ACLT would like to ensure his dream becomes a reality.
The closing date for the petition is Wednesday 23rd July. Please get signed up and ask your family and friends to also get signed up and to pass this very important message on. Thank You!
It closes shortly and I reckon we can get it up to 10,000. This would make it one of the biggest of its nature in the country.
You may have already signed up but there will always be people who have forgotten, not got round to it etc.
Please pass it round as many colleagues, friends, family members as possible.
You are joining the likes of Gary Lineker and Natasha Kaplinsky!
