I hear you bruv........pretty much all the black cosmetic places near me are asian owned. I regularly travel to other sides in London to buy my tings.

You would need to have seen Unreported on Channel4 today to see how they treat the Dialeks the Untouchables this would give you a framework in trying to understand their perception of black people which is deeply ingrained in their psyche...yet enough of our people would rather buy cheap from them rather than support our own who have to pay over the odds with no discounts to get their goods...the problems that affect us today is a direct effect of our actions we bring this sh$t on ourselves...

IN north west london theres a group of Kashmir hair dressers who now have brought in a black hair stylist.
At my own hairdressers I've noticed (understatement) that one of the stylists is east asian. The girls going everything - relaxers perms.

You will never be able to compete against the Asians as they are far too experienced and professional as a group. Plus when all else fails they have unity.

There are plenty of us with MBA's in this country, it don't change a thing getting a 2nd Degree. The Asians are better organised, have greater ambition and have economic muscle. We are not, we dont' and we shall not have.

Until we wake up and realise that the real enemy is not Asians, Europeans, illusionay slights due to "Slavery" the real enemy is our lack of community, lack of support, eternal in fighting and lack of collective vision.

Its not about competing with them, theres no, ''competition'' when another group of people are moving in on our economy, we're just not picking up the slack... fact is if its not them it'd be another group, Vietnamese, Eskimos or some 'ish. That being said has anyone even tried doing anything about it... B.Ham riots not included? Can't Ligali/GAC or some group have a meeting with them and start a nationwide boycott of their stores, pool our own together to group buy? If we could start a Pan Africanist group buy initiative we'd have more than enough clout... those that don't fall in line get put on the list with the rest of the vampire merchants.

Gives the impression we're just pathetic, its why people sell out you know they just can't take the apathy and egotism.

To me I think we don't advance we just fight! the thing is in a struggle/war you are meant to advance,gain territory and control of what you have conquered, but we just stay in the same place fighting the same fight!

The Asians appreciate members of their community that are gaining grounds because at the end it will reflect back on them and they'll move forward together and become relevant!

In the black community or on here, people will stay the same fight and criticize anyone that attempts to move forward! you'd be accused of working for the white man or your work or aspirations do not have any benefit for the black people-so basically you are a coconut for doing anything unblack! that's the message i get anyway- funny thing is majority of them will never move to Africa or the Caribbean another weird thing is many Africans don't identify with this backward struggle!

economic empowerment is what we should be teaching we should be supporting people not pulling them down; the world is not automatically ours!! if you dont fight for it alone or together you don't get nothing!!

Capitalism is not going away we should strategise to take advantage of the benefits!!

Black Lion as a businessman you should be aiming to sell your product and services to anyone that needs/want it; you are not doing any particular group of people a favour you are doing BUSINESS and empowering yourself and family economically(and the black community by extension).
