.....but I just got to get this off my chest: I work in a hospital. There is a top consultant doctor there, originally fom Ghana, who earns about £100,000 a year..... he is divorced from his black wife; is currently married to a white doctor. Anyway today in a meeting, one of the black nurses on the ward mentioned that one of the patients (who recently had a stroke) called him a monkey; this doctor replied that his own (mixed raced) children often tell him that he looks like a monkey, and the doctor seemed to find this funny; and did not think anything was wrong with this patient calling the nurse a monkey. This doctor lives way out in the a rural area in the country - not sure if his own children ever see other black people - apart from their own dad.....
